Former MemberFormer Member Deactivated Posts: 349 The Mix Regular
So today I have had a bad day and am not doing good with my mental health keep  crying due to my depression as my depression is very  new it’s hard to come to  terms with.
also I am caring for my mum who has breathing problems and is getting worse I am a young carer so any other young carers that can offer tips would be great.
I just feel so sad and alone and want people to talk to and support me as best as they can
hope  people reply to me and talk to me

Hey there @Past User it's positive that you have reached out here today.  <3

It sounds like its been pretty tough for you today, and that you are struggling with your depression and on top of that caring for your mum. It seems like you have a lot going on but we are here to support you. Have you talked to anyone else about how you have been feeling?

It sounds difficult to be feeling alone, we are here to support you.  :)

    Hi panda lover :)

Im also a carer too :) I think we’ve met in the Young carers chat a few times. One of the reasons you may not have been able to get through to the Reception yesterday was because it was the weekend and GP’s aren’t open then , may be worth trying again 💜 And if you ever need to see an out of hours GP you can always Ring 111

Ill try and Find some links but myself and other members of the community have done some threads around a different topics that young carers might face or might be interested in.

Heres a few of the links that I’ve dug out our the Coronavirus section of the boards :)

It may also be worth googling to see who is your local Young carers charity for your area and getting in touch with them , when Covid is over I know they can offer 1-2-1 support and group activities etc that give you a break from your care role and the chance to meet other young/young adult carers

Sometimes all you need is one person to believe in you , for you to begin to believe in yourself.

Thanks yes think we have chatted in young carers group chat before. I have tried gps during the week too no answer and don’t want to do out of hours. I already found a lovely group that once the virus is over will be doing face to face for now we chat over video.
    and thanks for the links

“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley
