Hi guys well I’m 22 struggle a lot with anxiety, especially social anxiety. Currently on sertraline and have been for nearly 2 years now. My anxiety is set of a lot over what people think, people taking bad about me, and not being good enough. My anxiety gets in the way of me sticking up for myself and that’s what I’m working on at the moment, I’ll let people say what ever or have them talk about me and then have a panic attack about it and keep it to myself. But I’m trying to stand up for myself when this happens and give my thoughts as when I do try I end up having a panic attack and end the conversation. Ashh

Welcome. We are here for you and would never  judge! Hope this place helps!
“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley

Welcome aboard, Ash! Really glad you found us and it's good to see you posting. There are a lot of folks here who deal with anxiety day-to-day, among other things, so we can relate.

Just a small thing: I edited your post to remove the dosage of setraline you gave. Talking about medication and mentioning names of drugs is totally cool, we just have a guideline around not specifying dosages so we don't get people self-medicating based on forum advice. :3
