4chan and Reddit are both basically forums on the internet, similar to the boards here (though much more lighthearted). Basically people post images or write text posts on there anonymously and anyone else can look at them and respond. 4chan has been the focus of a lot of controversy in the past though so probably best to steer clear of that one in my opinion.
