Hey Poets! 

There is some serious talent in this group. Thank you so much for sharing your words with us. 

For those of you who are interested we have a bit of a poetry challenge for you. 

The Mix is doing some work to raise awareness around youth-homelessness, and one of the ways we want to do this is to make a video where someone is performing a poem or spoken word about homelessness. Something along the lines of this video by crisis, but more youth friendly.

As the poets of the community do you want to have a go at writing a poem about youth homelessness. There is heaps of inspiration on YouTube - or you could ask the rest of the community for their thoughts on the topic. 

The author of the best poem will get to work with our content team to create a piece of spoken word to be performed (by an actor to protect your anonymity) in the video to be launched by The Mix across our social accounts. Of course you will be credited as the author and it could be a great platform for your poetry - however if you would rather stay anonymous then that's cool too, the choice is yours. 

Our content team will be reading through the poetry late next week, you can post your poems here (even build off each other if that works in poetry) or if you would rather not have your submission public then please feel free to email your poems through to info@themix.org.uk.
