Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤

Yesterday I watched a film called the whistleblower. It is a bit sad but based on a true story and inspiring. It’s about a police officer who was recruited as a United Nations peace keeper in Bosnia. While there, she discovered a sex trafficking ring serving the UN employees, with the peacekeeping force turning a blind eye. Bolkovac tried to shut it down and stuff and it’s about that and how they try and silence her etc. Won’t give away the ending
The sun will rise and we will try again

Today I watched a film to do with the Suffragettes and it is inspiring because it tells me about how woman managed to eventually get the vote even after a lot of violence, peaceful protests and going to the house of commons. It also shows what jobs the woman did and the way they were treated. I loved the film even if my history teacher triggered me.

The way she triggered me was by talking about rape. It is triggering because it is an extreme topic and gets into a lot of detail. She saw I was getting triggered though and stopped which was a relief.
