Lonely

I’m feeling exceptionally lonely today. I’ve been feeling lonely for some time now - today, just feels more so. I never had many friends - one or two really but we were really close. Lately, they’ve all been moving on with their lives. We’re on different paths. I’m a single mother (always have been) to a teenager. My friend has a grown up son. Like me, she doesn’t have many friends, but it seems she can only have 1 close one at a time. We used to be close; did everything together. We went out to bars, restaurants, etc. Lately, I feel replaced. She has a new friend who is closer to her now. They have more in common than we did so it’s easy to see why they get on so well. I’ve never found it easy to make friends, but now as I get older I find it even more difficult. It’s my first time on here. I’m hoping this has helped some people and maybe someday, me too...

     Sorry youre feeling lonely. I think at some point everyone feels like this, espically when friends move on and replace us.- Doesnt make it any easier though:(  and I empathsis with you. Its really diffcult to make friends:(. maybe trying to go to more opportunities to find friends could help?

    Maybe somethings don't get better, but we do. We get stronger. We learn to live with our situations as messy and ugly as they are. We fix what we can and we adapt to what we can't. Maybe some of us will never fully be okay, but at least we're here. We're still trying. We're doing the best we can. That's worth celebrating too ❤
