Should the UK join the Euro?

I'm aware that there are several threads on this, but I want some up to date and accurate figures for a debate on thursday.
So, do you think that the UK should join the euro or not? Outsiders points of view are welcome as well as they are likely to be more objective.
I'd also like some of your reasons. Having to debate for the euro, so primarily interested in those arguments, but will need a list of against arguments so we can counter them too. Also, if anybody knows how well any other EU countries are faring with the euro then it would be useful to hear your input.
