School uniform consultation no new uniform

Hi my son is 11 and In his first year of secondary school. Before Christmas his school held a uniform consultation on weather to keep the current uniform or bring in a more formal tie and blazer uniform.
Thankfully the new uniform got rejected after 80% of parents voted against it including me 89% of teachers and govoners Also voted against it and 91% of students also voted against it including my son.
What's people's opinion and what uniform do you prefer and which one would you of voted for ?????
The proposed uniform rejected
School blazer
School tie
School shirt
Grey school trousers
Leather school shoes

Current uniform / staying the same
School round neck sweatshirt with school logo
School polo shirt with school logo
Black school trousers
School shoes or plain black lace up plimsolls as an alternative (my son wears plimsolls as school shoes)

I would definitely have voted for the current one, as a 15 year old school student.

Our school uniform is extremely strict and so many students (including myself) hate it. Luckily we don't strictly have to wear a blazer though.

Wouid your school convert to a sweatshirt and polo shirt uniform ?? My sons school only held the uniform consultation as other schools did in the area luckly none of them are changing to blazer and tie uniforms
