Tax refund

Hi everyone,
I realised recently that ive been on the wrong tax code since last April and according to a online tax checker I should be due a refund. I contacted HMRC who changed my code but didnt say anything about a refund.
Should i contact them to arrange that or will it all come out at the end of the year and i should wait til then to see what happens?
