I wondered about propaganda first as well but I cant see what he would gain from it...The western world has already set its sights upon him as though he were guilty and the muslim world think its either down to the Jews and that hes being horrible stitched up.

I dont see what good this claim is gonna do him. Its just going to silence those anti-war types who wanted proof. Ive heard many people who said they would support the war if they had proof...they now do.

About it being a propaganda tool, there is a story in the mirror about a different group being investigated by the FBI etc. because they have claimed responsibility for 911 on the net. If there is any truth in this then UBL could be worried that his 'cause' will get a back seat. But I am sceptical about that.

yeah I read the mirror story...Im pretty sure it was BS..Nobody else has picked up on it and I dont think Bin laden is ever gonna get a back seat.
