Rewriting History

Hello it's me again.. Just want to know if anyone has any examples where the facts of history have been effectively rewritten, perhaps by Hollywood films or media coverage. What do you think about this? I am being really lazy as I have an essay to do over Christmas on this topic, so far my main example is of Schindlers…

If you can get hold of it the book Fragments is worth reading as an example of someone who lied to sell a book.

Written by Binjamin Wilkomirski who claimed to have survived the notorious Auschwitz and Majdanek concentration camps.

In fact he spent most of the war in Switzerland. The book was withdrawn. These kinds of fabrications are really damaging for those who really did suffer in the holocaust.
