I once got this email saying if you press a set of certain keys in word 97 (or was it word 2000?)

You get this 3D game come up - thought is was just a hoax until I tried it - there is a secret 3D game hidden in one of the older versions of Word.

I did a search and came up with the thing below - but no longer have Word 97
.. oh looks like it might have been Excel 97??

    WORD 97 PINBALL

An 'Easter Egg' is a hidden bit of programming in an application, that will run if you know the correct sequence of steps to follow, ... and usually lists the programmers who created the software. Many programs have these embedded in them.
Microsoft's WORD 97 has an unusual hidden 'egg' ... a pinball game that you can play! To discover this free, hidden game, run Word 97 and then follow these steps exactly:

    Open a new document.
Type the word "BLUE" (in uppercase and without quotes).
    Highlight the word.
From the menu, select "Format" and "Font", and change the color to blue.
    Make the word bold-faced.
Click at the end of the word "blue", type a space.
Click "Help" from the menu, select "About Microsoft Word".
    Click on the Word icon.
After a few moments, you should see a pinball game on the left with programmer's names scrolling on the right. Right flipper=M, left flipper=Z, exit=ESC

    Flight Simulator in Excel 97

Did you ever even think that you could play the game flight simulator in Excel. All you have to do is follow these steps:

    1. open Excel, and then click F5. In the dialog box enter: x97:l97

    2. Then click OK and then tab.

    3. You should now be in cell 97. Finally, hold down Ctrl, and Shift and click on the chart wizard button on the toolbar. Voila.

    4. The controls are right mouse click to accelerate and left mouse click to slow down.
