    the actual saying is cheap at twice the price, meaning how much of a bargain it is, but saying something is cheap at half the price is just a pisstake of the original saying.

    I always thought cheap at half the price was the origanal saying,no? We seem to think it means that the thing is really expensive,i.e. it'd only be cheap if the price was cut in half?? I think that makes sense :)
