Really? If feelings don't come into it then why say, "The majority of afghans hate the way they are forced to live...". I believe hate is a feeling. You can not speak for Afghan women and their feelings, especially after telling Mindless that he didn't understand what they are thinking. Can't you see that your hypocritical pionts are annoying.
Its a stone cold FACT that the taliban have less than 30% support from the population at large.
The source of this 'FACT', not a Western news organisation by any chance. Not very reliable and probably biased. You can not trust the press, they put their own propaganda spin on all Taliban coverage.

State which facts? These are your opinions, not plain facts. Facts require evidence. If you state 'facts' then back them up.
I don't talk rubbish at all, all I want is for you to stop passing of your opinion as facts when they clearly are not. Show me some evidence and I'll believe you. You made it sound as though you were saying that you knew about the feelings of Afghan women and their hatred of the Taliban, which you don't. I'm cool with you as lomg as your clear, I think that this is a good discussion. Just don't pass off your own views as fact, because as you say, we don't know that much about it.

That might not be such a bad idea, some of the comments have been insensitive to an oncoming war. If you don't know what your arguing about, stop arguing... simple.

I had thought that everyone knew of the support levels of the taliban among the people of Afghanistan. Its detailed on the news almost every night from the mouths of the refugees. I am currently looking for the sources and ill post my evidence soon as I find it.
If I told you that I dont like Tony Blair then you would know my feelings..The Afghan people have said on many occasions how little they like the taliban regime..Its all over the news..documentary evidence is coming. But of course I dont know exactly how the afghan women feel..Im not an afghan woman living under the taliban.
Im not...Its not just my opinion that most afghan women dislike living under the taliban, it IS FACT. I had thought it was well known but obviously its not which is why im finding you evidence.
So why do we bother coming to forums then? You see perfectly able to talk about this when, by your own words, you know nothing of their situation. Insensitive to an oncoming war? So what? Why should I be sensitive toward war?

Nobody is forced to do any of the things in that list in America..They may be influenced by society but they most certainly arent made to do those things. If you cant see that then I pity you.

The influence of society through social control is far more powerful than you might imagine.
Fundamental muslims threaten the stability of any country that they have large numbers in. They have no tolerance of other ways and cultures and seek to impose their culture by any means.
The average muslim is no better or worse than anyone else and I have as no problem with them, but the muslim fundamentalists are bad news IMO.

Er sorry but are we talking about the same thing here? Its obvious that they US woman wont get the death sentance for anything that we are talking about here whereas the afghan women could and often do get executed for what the taliban class as crimes.
It doesnt matter how powerful that influence is..The fact remains that they still have the choice and they wont be executed if they chose to do something unpopular.

We had a news intervies from Pakistan with refugees crosing over...young lady made her personal 'coming out' expression by pulling the baraka off and low and behold...she had a pretty face and a beautiful smile...put the women in charge of Afganistan with the armed might of US all behind them to enforce their every whim...fair play I'd say!
