I know that we have probably covered this topic, and I even know that some of you will go back and find the old threds . I am considering getting circumcised and just wondered:
1. Where to go in the UK?
2. What is it like?
3. What are all of your thoughts on the matter of circumcision?

R u gettin it done 4 medical or personal reasons? Cos i read that it causes a severe loss of sensitivity, on a scale of 1-10 from 12 down to 3.......

Ive also heard that it causes a severe loss in sensitivity.. not worth it unless its medical.

The foreskin is there 2 protect the head of the penis and it prevents it becoming desensitised.

Uhhhh...people who are circumcised at birth don't get any loss in sensitivity their entire life pertaining to the operation...

I don't know about getting it done when you are older, but I can only assume the same.

And I know just from reading the old testament that it is an extremely painful and incomfortable thing to have done...

A couple of my mates were circumcised in their early teens and they say there isn't a huge deal of difference (one said it was an uncomfortable operation while the other said it was nothing much at all). They say they may have lost some sensitivity but not sensation. I was interested in it too for myself but my present girlfriend just loves my foreskin so I gotta keep her happy! <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"&gt;

Didn't Luka say that he was circumcised? If he doesn't mind us being so personal, maybe he can throw some light on this?

Yeah but if ur circumsised from birth u don't have n e thin else 2 compare it 2, if u have it done l8er in life i suppose u notice it cos u've bin used 2 it.

Why would you want to get circumcised other than for medical or religious reasons? <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/confused.gif"&gt; Just out of interest because I honestly don't know!

my fiancee is circumcised, he had it done when he was about 10 so he wouldn't really know if it made any difference.

i prefer a circumcised penis, it's much cleaner

infact my ex was uncircumcised and giving him a blow job almost put me off blow jobs for life! he didn't clean properly, at least with a circumcised penis it's not so easy to miss bits out when washing!

yeah i totally know what you mean! i didnt mind giving blow jobs until... urrgh... yeah well. my current bf is circumcised and i prefer it. i like actual intercourse better with someone who's circumcised actually too.

yes, yes I am. As far as having it done for cosmetic reasons it baffles me why someone would want to have it done for cosmetic reasons <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/confused.gif"&gt; to pay to have a piece of skin removed ...hmmmm.... I wouldn't have had mine done, but I had little choice as I remember the consultant telling me. tbh the whole thing of cosmetic surgery baffles me. I'm not sure as to how sensitivity has been affected, I'd say I'm more sensitive now than I was before, but the operation was 9 years back and I was a virgin so I have nothing to compare against.
