    Indeed, the EU as well as the US and the G8 as a whole have a shameful record of lip service to the developing world, especially in times of crisis such as this.

    One reason I put the Geldof quote in my eralier post elsewhere this morning.

    my dad said he was focused on knocking the EU because he was talking to UK/European press. Once he gets to America, he'll focus on us.

    i agree with Clan, no-one does enough but I would also add that aid isn't enough, the maibn effort should be to help countries develop so that things like thius never happen.........
