they had a system of education that produced designers and druaghtsmen, architects, stone masons, cabinet makers, goldsmiths, artists, sculptors, builders, engineers etc that produced the great pyramids and great cities ...we get the dome.
what went wrong. the pyramids will be telling the world for a long time yet that there was a great, determined and talented people around all those millenia ago. in 5,000yrs what do you think we'll have left behind to tell about our greatness?

But the Pyramids were built by slaves and those that lived in poverty for their masters who they believed were Gods and had complete power, not good.......

Things don't matter, it is culture and values that are a sign of civilization, not who can build the biggest phallic symbol.........

I agree with you on that :)

When learning history you learn about the mentality of the people.
Only reason you'd mention the steam engine is to get into the industrial effect on people.

I liked The Dome. It was a good day out and it isn't as if we would actually see the cash being spent on anything else is it?

thought he egyptians indeed had slaves it is now all but accepted that only the most menial of jobs would have been done by slaves. to build what these people managed would have taken an excellent education system, going on to adult education.
there must have been a lot of leisure time and food and water on a massive scale to have so many people painting, designing and crafting. even the biblical account has the jews fleeing pharoa and complaining and moaning to moses that back in captivity they had fine spices and garlic and now they had dust. all the evidence points to a highly cultured society.
