In your opinion, which areas comprise central London?
Which area would you recommend which has a
1) good range of restaurants;
2) good pubs or bars;
3) good general atmosphere; and
4) good range of hotels.

itchy
for reviews of bars etc
Oh, and I'd avoid Islington if I were you, there are some strange offices up that way
in the day time neals yard's World Food Cafe - friends of mine and amazing food, pictures and the vibe in NY is great
2) good pubs or bars; covent garden if you choose carefully
3) good general atmosphere; and covent garden/neal street side although the main part is not too bad.
4) good range of hotels. Seven dials hotel in covent garden is good value.
bits of the south bank are quite good for atmosphere
I personnaly would stay well clear of Oxford Street
central london = Zone 1 ish / anywhere with a WC1/ WC2 postcode
*sarcasm* Hobbs - you're not keen on Covent Garden, then? */sarcasm*
Definitely! It's always good to have an insider's point-of-view on things.
