Missed the point again. There is a DIFFERENCE between pride and arrogance. Goes back to basics. Self-esteem fosters arrogance. Self-respect fosters pride. Self esteem means that you think you deserve everything on a silver platter because you exist, even if a worthless lump of fecal matter. Self respect means that you have been measured against a yardstick, have ACCOMPLISHED something in your life, and are judged by others as worthy of respect.

I am actually pleased that I do not have your respect, I believe that I am a better person for it.

You are spot on, I haven't read racist statements from any of you, hence the "(?)" becuase the other views you espouse are usually associated with racism too.

As for homophobic, what actions are the ones that offend you then?

Yep, there is a fine line between pride and arrogance. Pride is a sense of self respect in what you have accomplished. Arrogance is believing that, as a direct result, this makes you better than anyone else and that these people aren't worthy of your respect. IMHO.

I didn't say better than anyone in particular, just a better person. THAT is the difference. If I don't have the respect of someone who only respects those with apparently right wing views, then I am happy with that.
