Rioting

The London May day riots are being tackled very seriously by the government. There are many campaigns to track down the people who were demonstrating for a cause they believed in. Fair enough, people shouldn't be allowed to vandalise. But the government don't seem terribly worried about the football hooligans of this country. Okay, they have said "Oh it's quite awful, and we'll slap the wrists of any naughty football hooligans if we see them on our way to Tesco"....

I feel that, although the Mayday rioters were not in the right, they were fighting about something much more important than some dumb football game. There's enough violence in the world without having to add to it cos you support a football team. Also, I feel that the government was genuinely scared by the Mayday incidents.
