    If the state owns land then logically only they can determine who can and cannot have access to it.

    Yes (although I am sure there are plenty of reasons for the govt to intervene on private land) but much land (in fact all land, buts that paedantic :rolleyes: ) has previously been common and ther are many pbulic areas that are neverthe;less privtely owned, you have to look at the order things happened, the land was public before private.............

    I think the issue at debate here was not that those people "own" the land, more that they "took" it...
