IRA and USA

Fianlly the US has linked the IRA into the "global terror network" maybe they will stop portraying them in a positive light.

Obviously there hasn't been much attention on them recently but what do you think is the way ahead? How long would you give them to hand over all their weapons at this stage?

    Oh christ....youre gonna set Diesel off. <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

Just heard on the news that the piece of shit, Gerry Adams is refusing to attend the congressional enquiry thing..Hes worried it might get the terrorist bomb makers in trouble..

To be fair, the IRA do seem to be disarming...Im not naive enough to believe they are doing it properly..What are we gonna do if they dont hand in their guns?

Blair is a **** and hes not gonna do anything....ever

LMAO...Balddog, I am an equal opportunity opposer to 'gun' confiscation.

Indeed, I oppose disarming any group of people...unless you are going to exterminate them...personal family history not withstanding.

When I saw the Afgan prisoners being sent home with their guns in the early days of the NA victories it gave me hope for the people concerned...that hope is still there.

If an IRA member gives up a weapon he is subject to summary execution by his own folk for treason. Surrendering a weapon could cost many lives beyond his...as for puting on a pretense for the brits...well, find the rust buckets and woreout junk and make them happy...that about does it.

I'd be more impressed if they were trying to disarm the 'Loyalist' and the UK troops keeping the 'peace' in NI!

How are you doing Balddog? I'm posting another thread that I think you'll find interesting.

The terrorists in ireland are committing treason though. If anyone executes them it should be a firing squad after a summary trial.
Diesel, you have a far too romantic approach of the IRA. Are they not classed as proper terrorists in your eyes because they don't kill thousands of people at once?

To many people on the British mainland, and a lesser extent Northern Ireland they are terrorist scum. I view them with contempt.
We already tried withdrawing troops from the area, it didn't work for beans.
Blair should get some balls and teach the bastards a lesson.
