<STRONG>The different parties on the left all have the same ideas of what communism is it is just that they have different ideas of how to achieve it and what methods to use!</STRONG>

Why do the words "piss-up" and "brewery" spring to mind?

I demand that Skive comes here and explains his comments in this thread, referring to the immigrant "problem" <IMG SRC="mad.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

Do I detect that you have not even a shred of an argument to back up your points?

heh! <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> You are very unlikely to get any reply from me if you demand thing's!

I don't have a problem with immigrants that enter the country through the proper channels, as you say they are a necessity to our country.

It's the immigrants that enter the country illegally that I have a problem with.

    P.S take a chill pill, far too many <IMG SRC="mad.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">'s at the end of your posts. <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

do you not SEE the hypocrasy with your stance on drugs? It is like saying that "it's OK for people to use alcohol and fags but not dope because it is Illegal. Just because it is illegal it does not mean it is wrong! <IMG SRC="mad.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> <IMG SRC="wink.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

    Agreed! <IMG SRC="wink.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

However these are two seperate issues, for which I have two seperate opinions. I must be stupid or slow because I fail to see this hypocrasy you keep acusing me of.

Ah, it would appear that he has found a new communist website that claims they are the same, and therefore he now passionatly believes that they ARE the same.
Communism and socialism are the same thing you idiot! I have explained though that some parties on the left use socialism to describe the methods used to get to communism! But both socialist and communist parties both want to create the same sort of society eventualy. That is a global borderless society based on democratic woerkers control of the means of production and distribution and production for need not profit!

Who's the victim in illegal immigration?

If you're going to say the taxpayer is the victim as we end up paying their benefits...

...you could also apply that to drugs. We pay for the rehab centres to help the addicts.

It's lunatics like you who give real socialists, who have a genuine will and opportunity to improve the world, a bad name.

I speak for myself here, but assume Skives opinion isn't far off...
I think there is nothing wrong with drug use, and drug use is a victimless crime. Drug abuse, on the other hand, I DO think there is something wrong with, and something should be done about it.

And I would also guess (its only a guess) that a lt more money is lost to illegal immigrants than it is to drug rehab centres.

Khan got it right, if you claim that immigration is bad and hence illegal for the majority then you must explain WHY?
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
um, I hope this isn't a brach of etiquette since Im new, but... what are you banging on about, stealgate? saying socialism and communism is the same is pretty fucking stupid, and displays about as much appreciation of subtle differentiation as equating bananas and apples cos they're both kinds of fruit. Politics is all about being capable of seeing the shades of gray, not just syaing you're either left or right, communist or fascist... that's one of the reasons the world's so unutterably fucked up - for example, Le Pen's rise is partly due to the ignorance of people who think they hate Jospin because he's on the left and feel the only alternative is to go as far the other way as possible. Do you seriously think ANY modern socialist, in this ocuntry or abroad, would agree with your definition? Even Tony bloody benn would find it a bit extreme.

How many reasons do you want?
    Let's see.
    Poor standards of education
Inability to communicate, thus an inability to get employment once their waiting period is up.
Unemployment leads to crime, crime leads to resentment.

Plus, maybe this isn't a factual argument, but i'll say what the others are thinking, if they want to come here, then they must do so through the proper channels.
It should be for US to decide if they stay, not them.
If they want to stay, then they must integrate. No more hanging round in gangs, no more resusals to speak English and fit in.
"But British people hang around in gangs" i here you whine, THEY ARE BRITISH CITIZENS. I know it might not be PC at the moment, but we should have more rights in our own country than people who don't have citizenship.

I personally don't see a problem with denying entry to people who should have moved to the country NEXT to theirs instead of travelling 2000 miles to get here.

    i here you whine
why thankyou Whowhere, you sound like Thanatos more and more every day and your arguments are increasingly sketchy.......
    Inability to communicate
then teach them as has been suggested....
    Poor standards of education
if so (wheres your proof?) then educate them.....
this isn't a factual argument, but i'll say what the others are thinking, if they want to come here, then they must do so through the proper channels.
You lot aren't giving up this point are you? We are debating what should be not what is, else there is no point......
It should be for US to decide if they stay, not them.
aaaahhhhhhh. the US and THEM attitude, very helpful
resusals to speak English and fit in.
Refusal? I bet theres loads of people that come to Britain and REFUSE to speak English <IMG SRC="rolleyes.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

What do you mean by "Fit in" do you think the average immigrant makes a conscious decision not to?
    people who don't have citizenship
What is this elusive citizenship of which you speak?
should have moved to the country NEXT to theirs instead of travelling 2000 miles to get here.
Its about economics mate and I think you will find that the countries adjacent to a warzone DO recieve the majority of asylum seekers/refugees i.e. Pakistan and Macedonia, they are moved around the world LATER because of our superior ability to support them.....

Actually, Einstein was a Jew in Nazi Germany and escaped to America where he settled in Princeton, eventually getting American citizenship. So there. Oh, but he doesn't count because he was clever.

Oh, but he doesn't count because he was clever
    thats an important point.......
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
    Not quite..

He was offered a place at Princeton and moved to the USA before the nazis came to power in Germany('32). He was granted citizenship in '35
