so - what do you find funny? In particular do you find the 'older' stuff funny? Does stuff like Monty Python', 'I love lucy' make you laugh or do you just not see the funny side?

For my parents generation 'monty python' was the cutting edge of comedy and their parents couldn't understand why!

Monty Python is funny (not watched any for ages, but I remember it as excellent).
Jasper Carrot, Lenny Henry, Billy Connoly, Victoria Wood and numerous other stand up comics.

    Partridge all the time!

The classic English gentleman abroad: It's David Niven. It's Stuart Grainger. It's Nigel Havers. The look - Imperial Leisure. Offset that look with those four summer reliables - hat, cravat, summer spectacles and, for that touch of class, the Alan Partridge blazer badge
    :D

But what about stuff like Monty Python, Tony Hancock, the goons....do you get it?

I dont get the goons, I've heard a reasonable amount of it and all it apears to me to be is some blokes putting on stupid voices.
Monty Python is good although I think their movies were better than a lot of their sketch shows, the bits went on a bit too long.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Men Behaving Badly. That is so hillarious. I think it's so funny cause I act so much like Tony (Neil Morrissey).

You've forgotten the legendary Morecambe and Wise!! "Give me sunshine..."

I like a cross between the lot. The Goons, Monty Python, Red Dwarf, Billy Connelly, The Mary Whitehouse Experience, The Office, Bill Hicks.

I could never stand Bottom and I didn't think Black Adder was all that and a bag of crisps.
