Monsters Stink

It's no wonder Monster's Stink has shot straight to number 1 in the charts! The bloody thing has been slapped on the front of every product from Fairy washing up liquid and Robinsons Fruit Juice to Kellogs cereal and Mcdonalds, its even on the bloody weather! There's more I can't remember, I think it's on a washing powder too.
A quick walk around my local Safeway and the critters are staring at me in almost every isle

Merchendise was sold by the shitload before the film was even released...it was hailed as a classic weeks before the release date.

Is this disney's/pixar's clever way of advertising, or are our children just being brainwashed?

its not just disney which does it, its everyone, look at when the spice girls were at their 'peak' there was spice girls spaghetti hoops, deoderant, pens, pencils etc
its just a way to make more money

look at Hearsay, they made their first million by merchandising their shit, not by selling records (although by the sound of their voices im not surprised)

Supply and demand. It is advertising, but it goes too far when it's on washing powder and washing up liquid-which are nothing to do with kids, the kids will just nag Mummy and Daddy to buy those particular brands.

It is annoying when you can't escaspe. Although I have to say, I want a Monsters Inc beach towel for my holiday! This aint a new thing though-*confession time*-I had Bart Simpson everything, from trainers to clothes.. (sad I know)

Monsters Stink really is an insult to Disney.
Disney usually create films named 'classics' because the are classic stories from fair tales (snow white, or cinderella) and indian dreams (The Lion King). They have created 4 new films using computer graphics now, Toy Story, Toy story 2, A Bugs Life, and Monsters Ink.
This leads to a whole new path of crappy advertisment from Disney on my Frosties! I love the tiger! If Monsters Ink is how things are to come...(adverts everywhere i look) then god help us! They could atleast show a link between there product! Washing up liquid and Monsters Ink! :| oh dear!
I realise this has nothing to do with Politics, sorry

Yes it is! having seen the ludicrous amount of advertising, i think the film was just a sideact so that children would be persuaded to buy more products.

Well, yes disney have over advertised, but really.. if you look at it they have shown how powerful pester power marketing really is?

I mean, why the f\/ck do you think they have sweets next to the check out at super markets?

Children are the biggest market to sell to in general, thats why the l33t f4t tw4ts are Disney decided to do what they have with the marketing..

    ah well..
