What's the most dumbest question you've asked?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Okay - whilst I was browsing through this forum sheet, I came across one of the most dumbest questions you could come off with:

Search engine? whats the address for google?

But then I have the cheek - one night I was watching american basketball with my brother and he was explaining to me how the game works ~ When he said to me they were only in the first quarter ~ I then asked 'How many quarters are there?'

From that, everyone took the piss out of me since then.

What's the most dumbest question you ever asked or have heard someone ask?

When I was in school on one April fools day my science teacher sent one of the lads next door to the other science lab to ask for the loan of a fallopian tube. He said he needed it for an experiment. He did
The whole class next door heard him ask for it, poor boy, haha :)

my friend was in a mock interview for the post of accountant. After doing really well, the employer asked if she had any questions. She said "what is an accountant?" Unbelievably, shes the cleverest girl in my year.
In the same set of interviews, when questionned about the chancellor of the exchequor, and prompeted with Gordon.... The interviewee answered "Gordon Bennet!" perfectly seriously too.

I've had free samples of tampons, tights, face creams and makeup all delivered to my house. So what you say until you look at who it's addressed to. I have a VERY male name.

Oh and 3 weeks after I moved into the flat had a double-glazed salesman call asking if I wanted new windows put into the flat. I explained to him that the flats were only 2 months old and I had just moved in. He then asked me if I wanted "to put new one's in anyway" Salesmen

My dear little sister (bless her blondness) has made many silly questions/statements in her time

However, my personal favourite has to be what she said in a swimming pool about 2 years ago:-

"Come down to the deep end - its deeper" (apparantly she meant to say warmer, but we're not believing THAT for one second!)

Oh can I just point out the irony of this thread by the way:-

What's the most dumbest question you've ever asked?
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Well, I think the most dumbest question I've asked was
"Do catapillars have legs?!" Pity I asked that in my sober state of mind...
And my mate is generally a blonde mess....

(When talking about Athletes Foot, and swapping the Foot part for another piece of the human anatomy....)

    "How about Athletes Foot?!"

(Just don't ask me why the hell they were talking about Athletes Foot anywho!)

    Blessed Be x

    Not really a question, but...

I was in England with a friend quite a few years back. One day when it was pouring rain outside, we were getting on a bus when my friend said, and I quote:
"Man, my lips are so dry...Must be the weather."

    Classic.

Was watching day time tv with my house mate and it was one of those show where they do paternity tests on a whole load of blokes to find the dad to a kid. I turned round and asked
" how come they never have woman being tested!" and to this day they still laugh at me.

My friend told me his birthday was the same day as mine so i asked " oh what date would that be then?"

Am well known for my blondeness

That reminds me of something completely unrelated to the topic.

The ice-cream van outside school is like a free-fo-all to push your way in, shout your order, and get out again.

One time I was standing next to a guy who obviously got a little mixed up with everyones orders flying about, and demanded "Gies yer cheese and onion chocolate!".

My friend asked this really dumb question...

    Me: What's your iq?
    Friend: What's an iq?
Me: Thank you, you just answered my question.

In reality i guess that with such a reply, I was the dumb one to ask in the first place.
