Reel Big Fish - very tempting.

Not my usual sort of music, but they supported a band I went to see earlier this year and it was such a laugh!

Will have to find out dates and book I think :D

Just think its really rude to go to a gig and leave before the headliner comes on. I've been tempted many a time, but at the end of the day you should support the scene. Thought it was pretty obvious myself what it meant.

so lets say your at a really shitty club with friends who are pissing the fuck out of you, you should stay?

or your at a really small club with a lot of bouncy screaming girls, you should stay?

or if you went to the show because you liked the second act (god knows how they got sucked into that tour) and you don't like the main band, you should stay?

i don't know what its like over there, but here at the venues where the bands play (no, not the large ones where on the weekend its a hockey arena) there are people coming and going at all times. people rarely stay for mor than 2 bands anyway.

if you don't like something, there is no reason to stay. leaving does not disrespect the band, it does not prove that you don't support this 'scene.' ask them. they know what its like and know how it goes.

For most signed bands in this country you need to buy a ticket, so people tend not to pay £10 to go to a university to see a band them leave.

well there we go, theres the difference :) to pay alot (granted i don't know the exchange rate) then of course one would stay!

see here, tickets are from $6-15 which is probably a lot less than what somebody would spend in a night anyway, so its no big deal to leave. most people just walking around downtown just stop by the clubs to see whos playing, grab a drink or chat and then leave anyway. i suppose it all depends on the venue too. see these are just little places on the corners of ave. and streets, that people pass by and stop in and leave as they choose.
