I am sorry if this has been brought up before. I did do a search but it came up with something about too many results so, well, sorry. It took me ages just to work out where the little search thing was. Yes, I am stupid.
Anyway, I am going to the doctor about going on the pill and was just kinda wondering what s/he is going to want to know. If anybody could help that would be really great!!
Oh and I'm also new on this so hello and all that.

Going on the pill is really no big deal once you set your mind to it.... and get in the door, i got to the outside of the building and began to worry about it being a good idea...it is a good idea, I just needed a friend to push me through the door.
The doctor isn't there to scare you off going on the pill or having sex.
There are no horrible tests and all they do is weigh you.
They ask a few questions about your health history and that of your family: history of breast cancer in your family etc.
They also ask you some really random questions like "how long have you been with your bf?" I don't know why but they do.
hope this helps

Well, I've got to go to the docs tomorrow neway. Two birds, one stone and all that. I think that unless my doctor is some gorgeous, young bloke I shall be getting the pill from there.(I havent been to the doctors for 6 years!) Lets hope he is old and crusty. Thats assuming my doctor is a bloke.
Although, this idea of not even having to give my real name does seem quite interesting... and somewhat less embarrassing.

I wasnt weighed.
When I went to the docs he asked me if I smoked, took my blood pressure, and asked questions about family history i.e if there was any thrombosis and that was about it. He didnt ask about sexual history or anything like that

i requested to see a female doctor when i went for the pill the first time. less embrassment. she weighed me, asked me a some medical questions etc...but if she asked me how long have i been going with my b.f i think i would have told her to mind her own business. it's got nothing to do with her job and if she asked, it's just plain nosiness.

don't mean to scare you...but my doctor wasn't exactly helpful. i actually think she was more embrassed than me, despite she's pretty young so i don't know what she's got to be so embrassed about. she's suppose to be understanding...and i was the one asking for the pill anyway!!

My doc asked me how long i'd been with my bf- if i had one, it didn't bother me. Think they just ask incase they feel like giving u some advice.
