Pal?? My word, the clandestine critter is getting a little friendly.. I assure you that was not my intent.. :D

My intent was to get him to discuss the issues, but alas alack as we can clearly see that is not to be...

Clandestine avoids the issues, he prefers insult and name calling.. I posted a list of the palestinian terrorist attacks.. So far Clandestine has told me the israelis are ten times worse, that palestinian civilians are killed daily, but always we are to accept his opinions...

Yet when I offer my opinion that he is a pompus arse, again he insults. I can see there's no Equal Right of Opinion..

Clandestine, when will you post something past your own opinion?

You know that you don't have to, I would not wish to force you abandon your mainus modus operandi..

Would you like to debate the subject matter of this thread, you know about the Weapons-Grade Uranium?

You and your "pals" have not spoken at all about the Weapons-Grade Uranium...

Reverse, i only respond to insult with insult. Since that is all you have offered you can't expect much more in return.

As for substantive debate, well I made plenty of substantive posts in the history of this debate if you care to look back. However, as youre a late comer to these discussions, you are perhaps not aware that my own substantive posts were met with little more than the type of insult you now seem to accuse me of beginning.

Sorry to disappoint you but if people will not question the situation beyond mere militaristic means like you and greenhat have been doing then there really is no point to debating you. In that vein you shouldnt be surprised when you get little more out of me than the insults you yourself have hurled.

Well what do you expect Clandestine? You question the official US line, criticise the President of the United States of America and his government, suggest they don't always act impeccably, and don't believe military solutions are always best. You are obviously a traitor and a bad American! ;)

    Clandestine,
The subject of this thread is "Turkish Police Seize Weapons-Grade Uranium" and you've totally ignored it, just like the subject of every other thread.

As far as your "substantive" contributions you've certainly tricked me.. The past? My word, its today and we are discussing today's issues..

BTW- see when I registered?? I lurk and lurked before then.. That's my forte, watching people and gathering information..

Clandestine, what is militaristic about the seizure of weapons grade Uranium? Militaristic to you means one does not agree with you.

Might I ask what do you expect, Aladdin? You question everything, choosing only to believe what saddam says, or arafat says or others of their ilk..

Rub that lamp and ask the Genie to enlighten you..

    BTW-
The israelis have been mining all those documents they took from Arafat..
We had a Special on the TV tonight.. Very interesting stuff, I'd say its a shame you two missed it... But beings what they found disagrees with what you'd like to believe, its no great loss...

We now have ties between Iraq, Iran and all kinds of terrorists..

However I understand its a mushroom thing to live in a dark cave and feed on manure..

Come out into the sun, catch some rays of reality..

To avoid being separated by a common language or your rather common use of the language...
    A loose translaction follows:

That was rather cheap and tawdy on your part...

Especially after you displayed a case of aggravated hemorrhoids over my reference to the word poor in your august direction....

Is that your best version of "always make sure you screw the other guy while screaming foul to the umpires..."
You continue to speak as if I had given you the slightest reason to think I was chagrined by the welcome I received from you to these boards, even after I've told you that I wasn't bothered. After being told that, though, you suggested that the only reason I could have for questioning your unsolicited words was annoyance. There seems to be only one person here with offence on the brain. Is the air of insouciance you display a little contrived, perhaps? I've already said that I'll try not to upset you to much... ;)

C'mon now, "If you fear it, KILL IT", it's hardly 'words to live by', is it?! I myself happen to have an antipathy to spiders. Not to the extent that the one suspended outside my window right now is giving me palpitations, but certainly enough for me to flail about in a very unmanly fashion if I were to bumble into a recently woven web as I walked into the back garden. Even then, though, I would still try not to hurt the spider. I'm savvy enough to know that overcoming your fear of something is not a matter of killing the thing, but of killing the fear that blinds you to that thing's true nature. In this instance, being (encouraged to be?) afraid of Iraq prevents people from seeing the full extent of America's dealings with dodgy regimes the middle east.

Maybe Sopite's grampa isn't stupid at all, but Sopite's clinging to that particular aphorism, while still posting on a site where people are encouraged to discuss things rather than to cover their eyes for fear of entertaining a disagreeable opinion, suggests that some kind of gene, or genes, for stupidity may perhaps have been passed down the lineage :p

Much you do not comprehend, Lambchop, and one item is that those who have been in the midst of combat do not have the pangs of fear which compel or motivate those like you. They simply take care of business...

I do not "fear" Iraq having the nuclear capability, which has been proven for me. I do not "fear" the consequences. I simply acknowledge the necessity of ending the "threat" before they might bring it to fruition.

No emotion, no more than taking out the garbage. Not from the same mindset as you, obviously. And not subject to the same fears...

Sweetpea, have you taken 'care of business' today? A good dump might improve your disposition.

Me, I can't face the day without having a major panic atttack, obviously...

First off- I don't recall hearing in the news there was a delivery note attached to the uranium reading: To Saddam Hussein, The Presidential Palace, Ali-Baba Street, Baghdad, Iraq. Was there? All the 'evidence' we have here is that the uranium was found in a taxi in Turkey, two countries away from Iraq- so it must be destined for Saddam then.

I guess there is not a chance in the world there are terrorists out there who might want to buy such material eh? And that there is absolutely no way Syria or other countries might be interested in such item? No... of course not. The taxi was obviously making its way to Baghdad.

Reverse: I hope you don't believe everything you hear from the Israeli army/government. These are the people who deny the Army commits regular human right abuses, or that any wrong doing took place in the assault of Jenin (!), or whose Prime Minister says Arafat is their own Osama bin Laden (!!!). Not the most objective and trustable of sources is there?

You may stay in self-denial if you wish, the papers belong to the Palestinian Authority.

It was them who demanded the return of their "stolen" property. The israelis claimed it was "spoils" of war..

Your best bet for a defense of the palestinians, is to claim this "stolen" evidence would not be admissible in a Court of Law.. That means although its true, it was unfairly taken, so it must be suppressed..

Alladin, even the palestinians finally admitted they lied about Jenin.
The way some jumped on the "its horrible" bandwagon and then looked like fools because the palestinians lied. Well, it was humorous in a sad way..

We saw a body being carried on a stretcher, the next thing we knew the dead man ran away..
Thankfully the palestinians just smiled sheepishly, they did not claim to be able to raise the dead..

You really ought to stay current with the news.

The Palestinians lied about the number of people that had been killed (FACT: about 52 were killed, not 500). The Israelis denied any wrongdoing had taken place and insisted that they had only killed 'terrorists' (FACT: half of those killed were unarmed civilians, some of them women and old people. The Israeli soldiers had even shot at ambulance crews trying to reach the wounded).

Now which of the above two lies do you consider more serious?

BTW I'd be grateful if you would provide a link to the news story about the Palestinian Authority papers.

A person lies about the number of people that were killed and you believe his other statements.

It was on 60 Minutes last night..

They (the 60 Minutes reporter) even interviewed a senior terrorist in prison..

This was much better on TV. Because no website could communicate the look on the man's face when he read the document(s).. A look like that, is to believed...

    Wait,

Tell me the English (who invented night fire-bombing of population centers (or, german cities is another euphimism)) are lecturing the israelis on protection of citizens. Please tell me I am hearing this correctly. That the country who knighted bomber harris is calling Sharon a war-criminal. I just want to make sure this hypocracy is as gold plated as it appears.

Malcom MacDonald and Neville Chamberlain would be warmed to hear their inane and disastorious policies have found new life among the nouveou socialist of Britain.

Do they take your balls at birth, or when you go to school?

now that you are completly disarmed, hows that crime rate coming?

Ah, to be a subject of the crown. I missed out on that subtle slavery.

    Cheerio

Er.. as a citizen of a country that used nuclear bombs on two cities, agent orange and napalm on another country, has bombed 21 countries since the end of WWII and has invaded nations and removed and installed foreign governments at will, you have but very little authority to claim the high moral ground.

Sharon is a war criminal on the grounds that as Minister of Defence he authorised and permmitted Lebanese militiamen attack a Palestinian refugee camp and murder in cold blood between 800 and 2,500 people, unarmed and mostly women, children and the elderly. He is wanted in at least one European country for these charges. If this doesn't make him a war criminal, you tell me what does.

And don't bore us with your stupid arms arguments. It's been discussed before and we're not interested. Go find a gun message board where I'm sure you'll find like-minded people.

Wasn't me that firebombed Dresden (with the help of the American Air Force). And it wasn't this country that knighted Bomber Harris, but politicians. What is your problem? Please tell me you don't expect us to have any sympathy for the people who killed Jesus...

How can the British nation be held responsible for fire-bombing, 60 years after it occured. Sure individuals can be held accountable but not whole nations. Sharon is an individual and he can be held responsible for his crimes like anyone else, no hypocricy exists in our condemnation of Sharon.....
