Question about pregnancy

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Ive read a post here before about girls who continue to bleed throughout pregnancy, if this was the case- when would they find out they were pregnant and what would make them do a test? I mean would they get to about six months and then discover they were showing or what??

Have you ever confused a dream with life?

there is a few people who for some reason that i dont know keep bleding during pregnancy. im not sure why. but not getting periods is not the only sign of pregnancy. and you usually start to show before 6 months. there is other ways of tellin ur pregnant too, like cravings, tendreness and enlargement of brests, feelin that u need to go to that toilet more. the is more but i cant really think at the mo.

An important sign of pregnancy is early morning sickness, or just feeling really bad every single morning, which gets progressively bad.

okay..first of all..when ur pregnant u don't show until 3 or 4 monthes..but not alot..juss ur lower stomach grows..but after 3 monthes u can't get an abortion..juss in case u were wondering...and i would just try a home test first...and then get it done professionally at a clinic or something....also..morning sicknes..well..u could just be sick.. but it's still a good sign..but another sign is...peeing more often...

No, i mean, in the way that it was really unexpected for the girl.

Yes, i know that it can bring happinnes, but she will forever be traumatised over it....in some way

I asked a friend of mine and she says you get that feeling; you either ignore it (risking goign into labour and not knowing you have...i know someone) or you go with the feeling. If you've had sex then theres always the chance...

..and before you ask how'd you be pregnant without knowing, she was quite big and she just thought she'd put more weight on!!

So if someone had a feeling, and symptons of pregnancy (but still sort of light bleeding) would you suggest they did a test? I know somebody who has put on some weight recently and has a feeling thast she could be, but doesnt want to do a test because it seems like a stupid thing to do if she has had her period.

Before you ask, it's not me but someone I know. And before you go doing the "your 'friend'" thing - it's not me!

I'm just concerned for her, that if she thinnks she is then surely it would make sense to do a test just to make sure?

i also know people who thought they were pregnant.

when quizzed about it they hadent even had sex.

why not buy a pregnancy test from the chemist and see if she is. If she is still worried go to her gp.

Well I bled through my pregnancy. I found out I was pregnant coz I had really sore boobs, and was feeling sick in the morning etc. I did a test but never expected it to be positive as I had had what I thought was a period. I was wrong however lmao! It was really hard to figure out my due date as I didnt no what was my last period due to the fact I had bled even though I was pregnant. They estimated it and when I went for a scan they realised I was a whole months more pregnant than they had thought!!!

happened to my next door neighbour too. but she was a size 8 and didn't put on weight at all, went into hospital with failing kidneys and stomach pains, came out with a baby

It's all very worrying actually! Anyway, just to let you know i'm going to buy her a pregnancy test and get her to do it- just to be safe. If she has a feeling we cant just risk it and blow it off saying that she's had a period and then have a baby show up in 6 months time!

No it was much lighter than that and it didnt carry on it was only ever for about two hours and hardly anything compared to a period. One time though it was quite heavy.
Its scary stuff as u think u will misscarry and theres fuck all u can do to stop it.
