The 'Make Our Rights a Reality' campaign needs your help!

The people over at Youth Access have been in touch with some info about a campaign they're running called 'Make Our Rights a Reality'

They want to get people talking about the legal rights of young people and have put together a manifesto created by hundreds of young people across England. To do this, they want to spread the word to as many people as possible and have started a petition on Change.org.

Here's some info from Pam, who's helping run the campaign:

Our basic rights to housing, education, a reasonable standard of living, good health care and protection from abuse and exploitation are enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Our Rights matter to us! But Not To Everyone ?

We want:

• To help ourselves as far as possible
• To be listened to, taken seriously and treated with respect
• To have our rights respected and upheld
• The advice and support we need before we reach crisis point
• Help from workers we can trust
• Be treated as individuals not as a problem

"We aren't asking to change the world. We just want to be given the help and services we need so that we can get on in life and become good citizens"
