    So.. a collective noun is a word that describes a group of something, when there is more than one of the thing!

    Some of the more common ones are:

    A herd of cows or a pride of lions!

    Does that make sense?

    yep that does :) thanksie! yay i understand it now sorry im no good with nouns etc when out of the normal context to me ill get thinking

    A clouder or a glaring of cats (it's not me, that's creepy, right?).

    A murder of crows (that too).

    A parliament of owls.
