Can you attach files in PMs? If so, how? If not, how come? Sorry, lots of questions.

It's not possible to directly attach a file to a PM in the way you would in a post I'm afraid.
However, if you attach a file to a post in the usual way (even without actually posting it), it will be saved to your stored attachments. From there, you can just copy & past the link.
It's a bit of a workaround!
