The people over at Performing Production are running some amazing-looking Skills for Life discussion groups and wanted to shout it out a bit!

The project is aimed for young people from Haringey and surrounding areas, in supporting them to develop skills for life that neither their study or family environment could offer. The project will promote community participation, restore confidence, facilitate the transition from an educational environment to a working setting, discovering their personalities, talent and self-awareness, by giving them engaging activities throughout the week and support their detachment from street life and gang crimes. As the street life is often confrontational and sometimes fear driven, we aim to offer through the discussion forum, a platform that will be a very practical, genuine supportive setting where the young peoples' lives can be transformed naturally. Our guest coordinators are professionals from the performing arts, photography, press, film and music industry and are extremely keen to give the young people practical and friendly advice for their future.
