Books on OCD

hey guys

I was thinking about reading a book on OCD, but I'm not sure as I think it might be a waste of money. I have bad OCD so I was hoping a book could help me to maybe try and overcome it.

I've been thinking about getting this book by David Veale:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Overcoming-Obsessive-Compulsive-Disorder-David/dp/1849010722/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1382647673&sr=8-1&keywords=david+veale+OCd#_

Does anyone have any thoughts about this, or any suggestions?

I've read several others in the 'overcoming' series and they are pretty good. I've not read the OCD one though.

They're based on CBT techniques. They're good groundwork for more intensive intervention, but do take work.
