Man Denied Ketchup Cries Racism

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
This man believes being asked to pay 25p for a ketchup sachet is racism. This is my city and these are my people.

I had no idea Glaswegian was a race.

First person to mention fried mars bars gets -25 points.

First person to confuse chippy brown sauce with breakfast brown sauce gets -2,000 points.

    Moron.

However, I've never heard of chippy brown sauce. Down here you have gravy on your chips and ketchup maybe when you get them home.

Thanks for that article, it made me laugh :)

Where I grew up in the Midlands we have four options: mushy peas, baked beans, gravy or curry sauce.

Beans is wrong. Gravy, peas or curry only.

Can you even imagine a world without broon sauce? All these gravy replies are freaking me out. A WORLD WITHOUT BROON SAUCE IS A TERRIBLE NIGHTMARE.

When I moved to England I was amazed that people had gravy with their chips. I haven't had decent chippy broon sauce in years!

I don't think it's racism but I'd expect any half decent chip shop to keep a bottle of ketchup to hand and not charge extra for it.

I live on the south coast, you always have to pay for any sauce here. Most places wont even offer salt and vinegar, you have to ask for it and they keep it behind the counter so you can't do it yourself :(

I don't think I've ever paid for sauce. Gravy on chips sounds wrong!

    Mayo.

Although I'm also fond of a bit of gravy.

Cheesy chips mmmmm I had some last night too. It's even better with garlic mayo but as BA says they charge extra for sauce down here. I move back oop north tomorrow but the chips are never as good as the south coast. And no vinegar, it makes them soggy and just ruins everything :yuck:

    Cheeeeesy chips.

    Otherwise a dash of salt.

And I'd be a lot more fond of chippy curry sauce if it wasn't just lightly spiced gravy to me...
(I LOVE my curries so... yeah. xD; )

This is the most vile thread I have ever read. The only saving grace is a fried mars bar. Mushy peas, brown sauce? These sound more like medical issues than something that should be ingested.

You're right....but for me part of the charm of curry sauce is that it tastes nothing like actual curry
