I was considering nominating this for Film-of-the-Book Club (nominations opening sooooon!) but the new film is only in cinemas at the mo and that seemed limiting.
Has anyone else read the book? Did you enjoy it?
What about the various films it has spawned? And the musical?
I absolutely love the book. The musical for me doesn't carry the drama and the story very well, but it's a good show in its own right. The film patched up a lot of the holes in the musical (as portrayed on stage), which I liked.
