Insomnia....

Helloo.
In my last post i said about being able to sleep well but recently (it was actually kind of sudden) i havent been able to sleep much at all. There are some nights where i only sleep a little bit and there have been a few nights where i havent been able to sleep at all, plus i have gotten a lot more paranoid and my mum wants me to talk to a doctor about it but i cant because i just dont know why its happening and i havent seen it as much of a problem until a few days ago.
I was supposed to be staying at my nans a few weeks ago but i just got so anxious and uneasy that i couldnt, and afterwards i just felt so horrible with myself. I just dont know if i want to talk to my doctor about it cause everytime time i talk to her i just feel really kind of vulnerable and it makes me really nervous.
Bye!!

    Hi LouiseL923

Sorry to hear you are not sleeping well :( It's horrible when you can not sleep I know how that feels as I have suffered with Insomnia in the past and you just feel like you are not resting. Are you feeling stressed or anxious about anything? They can be trigger points of why you are not sleeping.

Here is a couple of links which may help, one of them is from our site which always has useful info! Also I have found some info from the NHS which may be helpful. http://www.thesite.org/healthandwellbeing/wellbeing/sleeping/insomnia

    http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Insomnia/Pages/Introduction.aspx

You also mentioned you are a lot more paranoid, have you had to deal with paranoia before? This could also be linked with the not sleeping as well again here is a link from our site which talks about paranoia, I hope this helps *hug* http://www.thesite.org/healthandwellbeing/mentalhealth/otherconditions/paranoia

Keep us posted of how you getting on and I hope you get a good night sleep soon!

hey i have been having the same problem for a very long time. i still do. i even got sleeping pills to help me sleep. but none of that worked for a long time. but now i workout in a gym and i workout at night. so i come home very tires. and it really helps me to fall asleep easily. so try exercising.

Insomnia is the most common sleep complaint, Try to Focus on quiet, soothing activities, such as reading, knitting, or listening to soft music. Keep the lights low. The following relaxation and stress management techniques can help you enter a more relaxed state.
