I thought you might be interested in Alexis' story about going through surgery to change from male to female. She's british (lives in London) but had the surgery in belgium...

WARNING: There are some very gory photos from the surgery, but not actual footage. There is footage of Alexis' immediately after the surgery where she is in quite a state and a lot of pain.

    It's really nice how supportive her mum is. I can't really imagine how it must be to have given birth to a son and end up with a daughter.

    Quite effective really, certainly a convincing change.
