"Deserted station" (translated lyrics)

This thread is very random but I just wanted to share this.
I love this guy's lyrics in general but I first heard this song today and it almost made me cry. (The original is in Greek, the translation is my work. I'm not sure it conveys the feeling as well)

Like a fallen sign in an empty street,
a train that never arrived
and is rusting on the track, empty and alone,
cracked by suns and rains.

I walk in the old station
waiting for the lights to get turned off.

All these years I've been wandering I've seen in the streets
travellers forgotten in the shadows.
I've seen ones who were loners and ones who were alone
but I've never seen so much loneliness.

He's been staying in the old station for years
waiting for the lights to get turned off.

I imagine him a long time ago, when he was young
on some beautiful spring night
he was waiting for her here and he looked so handsome
with the red flowers in his arms.

Now he stays in the old station
waiting for the lights to get turned off.

All the people who can wait for years
already know that it's best, when you go
to a deserted station with empty wagons,
to at least wave a little, silently

at those who stay in the old station
waiting for the lights to get turned off.
