I'm just curious about how all you guys all spent your student loans last year?

How much went on rent, books, socialising, clothes or whatever and did you need a job to top up the cash flow situation?

Just curious,
David

I'm gonna get £3900 this year, £2500 will be going on accomodation alone. I will have to work while at University in order to pay for essentials such as food and going out and such.. Oh well, and I gotta pay £271 for tuition fees too... Sucky..

Hmm. Let me see. I lent my ex £400 (kiss goodbye to that then), spent a lot on train tickets going back wards and forwards to Cardiff nearly every weekend. I bought loads of CD's. and I had about £1000 left when I quit. But I have to pay it all back so it's not that great.

I'll get £7200 in scholarship, £4100 in loans, and my world would be looking sooo good if there weren't tuition fees of 10 grand. Will spend approx. 2300 on hall accommodation, and spend as little as possible at anything else I guess. Ouch, definitely need a job.

I'm getting £4112 a year loan and my LEA have decided to pay £2 of my tuition fees of £1100!!! How kind of them. Anyone living in Oldham I hope you don't get the same rubbish as I did.

I think I got the full £3815 last year.

    I spent (approx)

    £2920 on accomodation

    £400 on tuition fees

£200 on food/clothes/books in my first week

£200 on busfares home every weekend and several times during the week (I lived 10 miles from home because i go to Durham but am resident in the north east)

The remaining £100 went on ball tickets and Xmas presents.

[Basically I had to get a job!]
