Should I be worried?

Don't panic I'm aware that the best thing to do is seek professional medical advice, so I'm likely to ring up NHS direct in a bit anyway.

However I have been feeling a bit of pain in my side, it feels as though I have walked into a doorway (sideways), there is some discomfort though I have not walked into or bashed anything into my body. When I do have a prod, the pain doesn't actually appear to be on the immediate surface of the skin (and there is no bruising).

The pain is on my right side and it feels as if its like ive bashed my hipbone, but when I prod into my side to where the pain is, its not actually bone. I don't think its anything inside my abdominal muscle wall, and doesn't feel like kidneys.

Yes I'm in some mild discomfort, but it has come on just this morning and remained quite steady during the day, its perhaps a little more than mild discomfort, but I have a reasonably high pain threshold.

Id say it was perhaps a strained muscle from exercise, but I have been naughty and have not been doing any.

You may of slept in an awkward postion which may cause the discomfort?

Hope you get it sorted, take care:)

Technical means of describing this would be saying that I have buggered my rectus abdominal on the right hand side.
