Anyone know where there is a downloadable copy of the firefox plugin FireSheep? It seems that it is nowhere around.

Firesheep does not in fact demonstrate individuals users lack of security, but the lack of end-to-end encryption (HTTPS and SSL) in popular websites. Although the security lapses in the most popular websites are present in less popular websites and intranets, I'm not sure if Firesheep can be configured to hijack sessions of websites not included in its default configuration; perhaps we need Firesheep extensions
As always in computer security, researchers are already working on circumventing the heralded counter measures.

You might frighten some people by showing them that its possible to hijack their web sessions, people implicitly trust websites because everybody else does and the realisation they've misplaced their trust can and should cause some anxiety.
