    I guess its sort of like real life..... If you were just having a laugh with your friends about "who was on top" (or not... but pretend ;) ) you would be a bit like WOAH if someone started talking about self-harm and a bit disturbed. Equally if you were eating some lunch, and someone started talking about food in an ED sort of way, the same thing would apply.... However if you were having a chat about health and mental health, it wouldn't be so weird.

    OK crap analogy... But yeah there are sections to the boards and it makes sense to post in the relevant ones. Not just for other people, but for you as well, getting the right support etc etc etc

    OK, this is going to be closed now.

    Broken_Angel - the link between these threads and Megan... that's a whole other story! I'm not sure if you know her history, but we've always encouraged her and if she's afraid to post then more than likely it's because she knows people will give her sound advice, but she'd rather just hide behind one person, like you. Please don't fall into the trap of thinking you're the ONLY person who can help her, it's unhealthy and you're not the first person to feel like that. We're all here to listen to megan if she wants to post and if someone has been nasty to her then she should report it to one of us mods.

    On another note, the questioning of posting serious matters in ranty threads isn't new at all, I posted this thread back in June 2010.
