I have a twinge in my knee but I'll just mention it to my GP when I'm next in, probably nowt.
WHAT ARE WE DOING????
On pay day, I'm entering the Bristol half marathon.
That looks awesome
Me too.
I don't even know why.
I blame Suzy...
I dunno what you're cheering for, if I die half way through I expect you to carry my body to the finish line .
Bit of advice please, guys:
I've just signed up for the 5k run Race for Life. Now, the last time I ever really did any running, was, er, 6 odd years ago at school. How much preparation do I need for this? Do I really need to buy stupidly expensive trainers? I know my current pair aren't good enough - although another pair I have somewhere, may be ok. I just don't want to injure myself.
I weighed myself for the first time in two weeks tonight and I appear to have put on two pounds. :crying: I feel embarrassed because I've not made any progress since a month and I haven't put anything on around my waist (in fact, I think I have lost fat, I need to measure tomorrow morning and should probably weigh myself in the morning too)...
I don't know what to think, other than maybe this is down to muscle gain?
I don't want to get fat on running though... I need to be thin for travelling and still have 10-16 lbs I wanna lose.
Note: I record my calories and have only gone over one or two days... I've been out drinking maybe twice, but not enough to warrent 7000 calories! I also eat one junk food a week and sometimes one sweets. I generally eat very well.
For example, I just drank a 500ml bottle of Dr Pepper, that in itself is around 1.1llbs anyway.
woohoo, thats a much better indicator of progress than what the scales say. The scales can fluctuate so much for so many different reasons. Well done/
Since I significantly upped my cardio and running, I am starting to get hungry. I haven't really felt this in years and it's uncomfortable and embarrassing...
I'm not giving in and I don't really enjoy or have an emotional attachment to food (I'd just take a pill if I could, eating bores me), but the hunger is distracting and I hate it.
