There's one week left to register on the Royal Parks site to go into the ballot. You'd have to ask Cat if you wanted a Youthnet spot :)

Hmmm I'd be so worried about letting them down :yeees: I'll think about it for hte day!

You won't be letting them down :). Me and Rach walked it when we did it, it's not like you absolutely have to run every last inch, and every little helps .

And we'll all help each other out with training motivation :yippe:

I can provide fundraising tips too, as I know that can be a daunting part of the whole process (but it really does spur you on on the day). Not everything has to be raised through sponsorship - here at YouthNet towers we have cake sales, pub quizzes, clothes swap parties....someone even cooked a huge batch of curries last year and sold them all to raise funds for when we did the Triathlon!

Me and my mum are going to do it for the national autistic society.
Thanks for the idea Franki. Ive been wanting to do something for them for ages, and with 2 of my kids on the spectrum, its a charity close to my heart.

(isnt that where JimV is now working?)

 he's gonna  when he finds out!

Keep us posted Amira and I expect if we still have a space when you know the score then it'll be yours. :)

Going to go for my First Run tomorrow with le dog. Was looking at going to the gym but Braintree is awful and the gyms are an hour's walk away from both work and home. Hurrah!

That's my worry, I need to wait until I have enough money to buy new trainers before I can start running again.

Well, I've entered the ballot. If I don't get a place can I have a youthnet place?

    Hmmn, now to start training.

fuck it, ive entered the ballot too, but ive decided if i get a place, im going to try and raise money for Autism Anglia, rather than the NAS, because theyve personally helped me LOADS, and theyre really struggling

Does anyone fancy a 5k or 10k Race for Life in summer to get started? I did the 5k run twice last year, it's fun. The obvious thing would be to go for a London event:

    London runs

I thought I might try for 10k in Finsbury Park on the 23rd July but it might be a bit ambitious...
