Homemade pizza base

I read KHSS's thread on making homemade pizzas but i was wondering more about the base.

What do you do if you want it a certain thickness, ie really thin or really thick? I know if you want it thicker you have to leave it to rise but does it still work if you use instant yeast or do you have to use normal? Confused!

I use a just add water kind. :p You can buy it for thin and crispy or average. I don't know the ingrediant difference, but the instructions for the thin and crispy involve brushing it with oil and cooking it a bit longer before you add the toppings.

I used to make pizza, not anymore. They come out fucking enormous !! :)

Dried yeast is fine. If you want thin you could try a scone (not stone) base pizza.

As it's easier to roll and rises less you can get it nice n thin if you want it that way.

Usually have thin but i do like it hot and thick and forced into my mouth, then a pizza afterwards :D
