can you book cheap advance fares at the train station?

the reason i ask is because i've got a £19 national rail voucher but can't use it online.

    Ahhh poop... as far as I am aware I dont think you can get advance (cheap) tickets at the station, but I seldom use NR so I may be well well off.

    ahhhh, what a waste of time this voucher is then (for me!). i am wanting to use it for a journey i plan to make but its cheaper to actually buy the advance fares online than it is to go to the station and use this voucher (plus cash!).

    its a £19 voucher, valid until june 2011. can be used for any journey with any train company. it cannot be exchanged for cash and change cannot be given.

    does anyone fancy buying it off me? not for £19 of course. i just want rid of it!

    I apologise Miss Blah blah blah, I called NR for you to check, they can be bought at the station, usually 8-12weeks before the journey but are sold in very limited numbers.

    Alas I was very wrong.

    i might pop down to the station tomorrow to see if i can get my cheap tickets.

    someone can still buy it off me if they want though? can't really be bothered with it :p
