Temporary job and disability

I think I've found a job which with a few adjustments, would be suitable for me. The job is for 4 weeks.

Someone told me that the company (they're a nationwide company) have no obligation to make reasonable adjustments; nor can I get access to work. (this is where they buy equipment to allow you to carry out your job) I can't find anything that says I can or can't get access to work - I've tried RNIB & Direct Gov.

Where do I stand please? It is impossible for me to do the job without adjustments as recommended by specialists I'vce seen over the years.

I'm similar to you, eyesight, and yes, Access to Work doesn't kick in unless you're working at the same place for 6 months or more. That's the main reason why I didn't temp. Now that you've been offered a job though, I'd visit your disability advisor at the jobcentre to see where you stand.

Unless your taking a permenant job with the company in question I'm sure they do not have to specifically cater for your needs under DDA. But as said above speak to an adviser to be sure.
