just come across this and found it very helpful.. the original poster talks about heroin withdrawal although in my experience i think the thread can be related to all drugs/alcohol/smoking,maybe worth a gander

    Hmm

    As someone without a drug problem I found the reply posts nice to read about lifes boredom in general and will try to keep some of it in mind to get out of my saddness of late.

    Wreckheads bore me, been there done that. drunks who repeat themselves constantly arent much fun either

    Sober life is boring at first. If you've had a problem with drugs and quit completely there's a hole in your life the drugs had previously filled and occupied your time with. Intoxicated life can be just as boring though.

    Moderation is key. but easier said than done.

    i think part of the problem some people cant come off drugs is the chaotic lifestyle, the ups and downs can be just as addictive as the actual drug itself.
    Real life is more calm and steady normally and that can be a lot to get used to for someone used to the chaos of drug addiction
